1. Introduction

Welcome to Amaripay. We provide a secure payment-hold service that helps people in the diaspora make verified payments for projects, property, services, and family support across Africa. By using our website or sending payments through our platform, you agree to follow these Terms of Service.

These Terms form an agreement between you and AmariPay Technologies Canada Inc., a Canadian company.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our service.

2. What Amaripay Does

Amaripay provides a secure payment-hold system. This means:

  • You send money through our Stripe-powered checkout.
  • Funds are held safely until the agreed milestone is reached.
  • Payments are released to the receiving party only after confirmation and documentation are provided.
  • If something goes wrong, we support a fair dispute resolution process based on evidence.

 

Amaripay is not a bank, not an investment company, and not a real estate brokerage. We provide a trusted payment structure and verification workflow for cross-border transactions.

3. Who Can Use the Service

To use Amaripay, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Provide accurate and truthful information during registration.
  • Not use the service for illegal activity, fraud, money laundering, or restricted transactions under Canadian law.

We may refuse service or close accounts that violate these terms.

4. Payments and Fees

Payments on Amaripay are processed through Stripe, a regulated global payment processor.

  • You agree to pay any applicable processing fees shown during checkout.
  • Currency conversions and bank charges may apply depending on your payment method.
  • Fees are clearly displayed before you complete any transaction.

5. Secure Payment Hold (Milestone Release)

When you fund a transaction:

  • Funds are held securely until the milestone is confirmed by the payer and/or evidence is provided (for example: photos, videos, receipts, contracts).
  • Amaripay releases funds only after both sides meet the agreed conditions.
  • If there is a disagreement, the release is paused until the issue is reviewed.

 

Please note: Amaripay does not control your project, building work, land purchase, or service delivery. We simply manage the trusted payment process.

6. Disputes and Refunds

Our Refund & Dispute Policy outlines how disputes are managed. Key points:

  • Refunds may be granted only when documented terms have not been met.
  • Evidence is required from both sides.
  • Stripe’s own dispute rules may also apply depending on the payment method used.

We process refunds fairly and as quickly as possible once eligibility is confirmed.

7. Prohibited Use

You may not use Amaripay to:

  • Purchase or transfer funds related to illegal activities.
  • Support scams, impersonation, or fraudulent property transactions.
  • Transfer funds on behalf of third parties without transparency.
  • Bypass verification, identification, or security processes.

We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts involved in prohibited use.

8. Verification

To protect users and maintain trust:

  • We may request identity documents, property documents, contracts, or proof of relationship.
  • We may perform compliance checks, including KYC (Know Your Customer) and fraud screening.
  • Failure to complete requested verification may delay or block payments.

9. No Professional Advice

Amaripay does not provide legal, financial, or investment advice.
Users are responsible for confirming the legitimacy of the projects or services they are paying for.

We do, however, provide verification tools and documentation workflows to reduce risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

Amaripay is not responsible for:

  • Delays caused by banks, payment processors, or internet service providers.
  • Issues arising from the quality, timelines, or results of a project, service, or property purchase.
  • Losses caused by misuse of the service or by providing incorrect information.

 

Our maximum liability is limited to the total fees you have paid to us for using the service.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally.
When changes are made, the “Last Updated” date will be refreshed at the top of this page.

Continued use of Amaripay means you accept the updated Terms.
